July 4th kicked off with a rousing parade at Riverwalk Park thanks to the Columbia-Noon Rotary. Children and adults gathered at the farmers' market pavilion to say the Pledge of Allegiance and sing the National Anthem.
The parade began with a drum walk down to the river and around to Riverside Elementary. All manner of bikes, wagons, and scooters were festively decorated with patriotic flair.
After the parade kids enjoyed cooling off at the splash pad or bouncing and sliding on the inflatable slides. The Rotary provided popcorn, watermelon and sno cones for attendees to enjoy as the day warmed up. It was another fantastic 4th celebration for the community presented by one of our best civic organizations.
