It's all good at Heavenly Vibes Farm, especially with the grand opening of its new store Heavenly Vibes Organic Store on June 10th at 2130 Darks Mill Road in Columbia, TN. The grand opening celebration from 6 am - 6 pm will feature organic food, Hawaiian Shaved Ice and the bluegrass band "Spur of the Moment" from noon to 3 pm.
Amber Doig is the visionary behind Heavenly Vibes, and she and her family moved all the way from Hawaii to Middle Tennessee to make it a reality.
The vision for Heavenly Vibes began 20 years ago and and is finally coming to fruition. Doig, her husband and two sons have spent the last two years building and growing the farm with the mission to “provide the local community with reliable, healthy organic food in a peaceful environment.”
Heavenly Vibes will be not just a farm to purchase supplies, but also a gathering place. Their Hawaiian principles are very similar to the hospitality found here in the South, and they hope this comes through in what they do. And they do a lot!
Doig wakes before dawn to tend to the farm, and plans to start her day even earlier once the store opens. The Heavenly Vibes store will sell a variety of spices, honey, kona coffee from Hawaii, beef, eggs, jams, and canned fruits and vegetables. Doig bakes the bread herself, and plans to use this time to reflect and pray for her community.
The bakery will house a small box for customers to submit their prayer requests, intentions or their own words of thanks. As the sun rises, Doig will quietly make her bread and start the day in reflection over those little slips of paper. “I’m a prayer warrior,” she says. But, that’s not all.
Doig seems to never stop, and her talents run deep. An accomplished financial advisor with clients all over the country, one of her main passions is painting. Amber Maureen Fine Arts will be housed upstairs in the shop, and Doig plans to host gallery openings and even a few classes for anyone wanting to tap into their own creative side. The upstairs will be an education center to share her joys and insights on sustainable farming and the positive benefits with others.
Heavenly Vibes is 31 acres of farm land, and Doig has plans to use every inch of it. Right now, the farm houses a quaint cabin for short term rentals, but Doig envisions something bigger. Between the trees on one of the highest hilltops she sees a Tree Cathedral. Events are in her future, and Doig plans to host weddings and other celebrations - bringing even more love and light onto her family’s farm. Check it out this Saturday!
