Saturday morning the skies were all clear at the Classics for a Cause Car and Air Show. The show celebrated its 10 year anniversary, and you may remember it as a car show held on the square in Mt Pleasant or Columbia. This time around organizers took things up a notch with the addition of aircraft.
The event was free to the public with all proceeds from participants, sponsors and donations benefiting Maury County Veterans Funds & Maury County Shop with a Cop.
Upon entering the airfield the options for entertainment were plentiful. Kids had a bouncy house, ring toss and assorted games to choose from, while adults were easily distracted by the vintage cars and airplanes.
Vanderbilt Life Flight had their aircraft on hand, next to a vintage patriotic flyer. Personal planes were also on display for attendees to view.
The car show was off to a great start and featured an array of vehicles from 1900, to present day. We saw Studabakers, Corvettes, Hot Rods, Firebirds and more. It was like the cast of Grease pulled up and set up shop for the day!
