Always a sell-out event, the 2017 aMuse'um Food Truck Fest will take place this Saturday night, April 15, from 6-9 pm. Hometown favorite singer/songwriter Austin Tyler Jones who was a recent contestant on "The Voice" will be the featured performer this year.
In its 5th year of existence, the Food Truck Fest is hosted and put on by aMuse'um Children's Museum. Community First Bank & Trust is the headline sponsor.
Set in the parking lot behind the museum and Whiskey Alley (patio of Southern Tre), the historic buildings that back the area give the event an urban setting and atmosphere. Patrons will enter through the front museum entrance at 123 W. 7th St.
The event will feature 10 food trucks, serving up everything from BBQ to Homemade Southern comfort food to whatever concoctions of great tasting food they have dreamed up. This year's food trucks include: Las Paletas; Sweet Bakes; Southern Tre; 313 Coney; Hoss Burgers; Tacos Maria; Funk De Seoul; New Hickory; and et Voila.
Tickets are $40.00 and will get you live music, cold beer from Asgard Brewery, and samplings from several popular food trucks. No need to bring chairs; they will be provided. Just come sit back, eat, drink and enjoy the music!
The event is almost sold out. You can get your tickets now by clickingHERE.
In addition to Community First, main sponsors include: the McEwen Group; Family Health Group; Parks Motor Sales; MB Heating and Cooling; Westbury House; Northside Medical Professionals; Columbia Firefighter's Association; Tennstar Automotive; Waymon & Helen Hickman; and St. Thomas Medical Partners.
The museum is 100% community funded. This event helps aMuse'um to provide a safe, educational, and fun place for our children to go all year. To learn more about aMuse'um and how you can help support this nonprofit, click HERE.
