I’ll start by saying that I’m definitely not the first to review this neat new pizza shop in Columbia, but I doubt I’ll be the last. Red 7 Pizza Co. had their grand opening March 2, 2016, and I am proud to say that I was one of their first customers. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly, comfortable atmosphere. I have to say one of the first things I noticed as I walked in was the dark, earthy overtones.
The line wraps around the left side of the sitting area, where you are then greeted by smiling faces that look genuinely happy to be helping you. I’ve always said that half of the battle with customer service is just to smile, if you can put your customer in a good mood at the beginning of their experience, it will continue throughout the entire exchange.
The menu consists of either a salad or a pizza, both of which are $7.95. Yes, that’s right, one price. No smalls, mediums or larges, just one easy price for any pizza with any combination of toppings you can dream up. (With the exception of the extra $2.00 for the Gluten-Free crust).
I chose the BBQ Chicken (I’m a sucker for BBQ Chicken Pizza) and had it made with blue cheese, red onions and banana peppers.
The only thing I regret about my choice that day was that I didn’t buy two. The service was extremely fast, the wait was short, the quality was incredible, and most importantly the food was absolutely delicious. Red 7 Pizza Co. is a perfect example of keeping the “hometown” feel while still being a part of a city that is developing so rapidly. I would absolutely recommend you all to go check them out, and trust me, your first time will not be your last.
