There are songs in our life that catch us when we aren't ready and take us back to a memory we didn't know we forgot. Music has a way of transporting us, and the songs that have that pull are written by a select few. Steve Cropper is one of them. Widely known in the music industry, his many roles have included songwriter, guitarist and producer, as well as collaborations with some of the finest musicians in the world.

Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005

Co-wrote “In the Midnight Hour,” with Wilson Pickett
