Columbia-native Callie Hopper has aptly named her upcoming album, “Out of the Shadows,” which stems from the idea of finding strength through risking vulnerability. She will be holding her album-release party at Westbury House in Columbia on Friday May 20th, starting at 7:30pm with tickets $10 at the door.
“Out of the Shadows,” is Callie's second full-length album. In her new venture, Callie blends a variety of genres, including pop, rock, country and folk influences. These are combined with her smooth and haunting vocals, a touch of sharpness and attitude, and her soul-satisfying, inspiring lyrics.
A local to Columbia, Callie has toured the Middle Tennessee area for the last 3 years, with features at The Bluebird Cafe, Mercy Lounge, The Listening Room and dozens of other local hotspots. Most recently she played at the Columbia Children's Museum's Food Truck Fest (bottom photo) and the annual Polk Spring Luncheon (top photo). She will also be playing at Small Town Jam's outdoor show on June 4th. Click HERE for information about it and to get tickets.
Callie has been a finalist and winner in local and national songwriting competitions and was also named 107.5 The River’s “YouTube’s Day Artist of the Week” in 2014. For more information, contact Callie Hopper at firstname.lastname@example.org.
