Located in Columbia's historic downtown district, Mum's the Word is more than a floral shop. Not only does it feature unique home gifts on its main floor, but it also boasts a little-known antique mall downstairs. It's a great place to pick up your holiday centerpiece, as well as to snag some gifts for others.
The gift shop at the James K. Polk Home is a little jewel that offers a surprisingly wide assortment of gifts, not all of which are related to America's 11th President. Here are just a few of the offerings: toys, coloring books, jewelry, cookbooks, pickles, honey, Polk wine and Dark Horse coffee from Muletown Coffee. Best of all the proceeds benefit the Polk Home!
Located in a former school gymnasium, this fun and fanciful antique mall opened in 2005 and boasts 8,000 square feet of glorious shopping. Forty vendors show off their goods for sale, from original artwork to a variety of funky vintage and formal antique items. Even if you don't have any specific shopping to to do, this place is just fun to spend an afternoon. *
